While I’m still working on the book Vampire academy 3, Quiz is offering me a new project, Journey to the West. And if I decide to take it, I must translate it from Chinese to English. It’s a little surprising, because I thought a publisher would always publish into its nation, not into some other nations. The book Journey to the West will be published in Malaysia and Singapore, as Quiz said.
Well, it’s not easy at all. First, it’s ancient literature, and of course classical written Chinese is hard to understand, not to mention translating it. Second, translating from Vietnamese to English is pretty difficult, and translating from a foreign language to another language? I’m not sure I know how difficult it is. But I should give it a try, shouldn’t I? I used to be proud of reading something in other language and understanding it without having to translate it into my language. Now I can read it in a foreign language, and immediately translate it into an other foreign language. Quite challenging, isn’t it?
Right now I’m a bit excited. I don’t know I will do a good job or not, but I won’t know what I can to until I do it :)
Soooo, it’s time to complete the Vampire academy series, in 15 days, I guess :P
